English (100 words)
Flashmark is a one-button location marker for iPhone, built by an independent developer. Tap MARK to save your current location with timestamp, accuracy, coordinates, and an optional note. Find it later from a clean list or map, or open in Apple Maps for directions. Triggerable via Siri, Shortcuts, the Action Button, and Back Tap. No account, no cloud, no ads, no third-party SDK — saved data lives entirely on the device. Free on the App Store, available worldwide including the China App Store.
Key talking points
- One button, one purpose. Tap MARK to capture current location with timestamp, accuracy, coordinates, and an optional note. Nothing else.
- Triggers everywhere. Siri, Shortcuts, Action Button, Back Tap — you never need to open the app to mark a place.
- Privacy by design. No account, no cloud, no ads, no analytics, no third-party SDK. All data stays on the device.
- Pure App Intents architecture. The entire app is one App Intent surfaced through every iOS entry point.
- Built by a designer with AI pair programming. Solo dev, no team, no funding — written with SwiftUI + Claude Code / Codex.

FAQ
- Why is it not on Android?
- I'm an iOS developer working solo. Doing one platform well beats two platforms badly.
- How do you make money?
- Currently free with no monetization. May add a one-time Pro tier later (custom widgets, export formats, etc.). No subscription planned.
- How does it differ from Apple Maps "Mark My Location"?
- Faster (one tap, no app launch), persistent (a list of all marks, not just one), and triggerable from Siri / Action Button / Back Tap. Apple's feature is one-shot only.
- Privacy specifics?
- Location is requested only when you tap MARK or trigger via Siri/Shortcut. No always-on tracking. No data leaves the device. No analytics SDK. No ads SDK. The app has no internet requirement for its core function.
- Open source?
- Not currently. May open source the App Intents portion for educational value.
